Congratulations Zac
It’s time to brag on my son, Zac. He has worked hard for this honor.
For the past two years Zac has played the tenor saxophone in the Broken Arrow Pride High School marching band. His first year as a band member was when he was a freshman. He worked hard to learn the routine and earn his position. In his efforts to do so, he was awarded Best Visual Performance in Low Woodwinds for Freshmen. That year the Pride was named the Grand National Champions in November in Indianopolis, IN.
As a sophomore, and still playing the tenor saxophone, the Pride again went to the Grand Nationals in Indianapolis where they finished sixth. He also played in the E Jazz band which consists of sophomores and freshman. He was awarded Best Visual Performance in Low Woodwinds for Sophomores.
He was one of fifteen or so band members who tried out for drum major. We just learned this morning that he was selected to be one of the drum majors for next year. We are very proud of Zac and all the hard work he has put into achieving this great honor.

Here is a list of some of the accomplishments of the Broken Arrow Pride. With this great traditional of accomplishment you can see why we (his parents) are very proud of him. Plus he is a drum major as a junior!
