Ohana in Kaua’i, Day 9
The day started slowly, but we did get to the beach. We went to Tunnel’s Beach for some more great snorkeling. Then it was back to the house for lunch. Momi and I went shopping for something to wear for our special occasion. I think we gave the salesladies a good laugh when we decided to wear what we bought because we were on our way to the ceremony.
Altogether there were three couples renewing their wedding vows. First was Momi’s parents Joe and Joan. Next was Momi’s sister Lani and her husband Tim. Third was Momi and I. Pastor Paul was great, the service was great, and the setting was great. You couldn’t have asked for a better place or time for the renewing of our wedding vows.
We decided that we would not bring our original wedding rings to Hawaii. But at the last moment I decided to make us some wedding rings we could use in Hawaii. I figured you couldn’t have a wedding with wedding rings, so I made these at the last moment. Thats a 4mm round sapphire in the ring Momi is wearing.
