Trip to Devil’s Den
Last week we took a trip over to Devil’s Den in Arkansas. The we was a dozen people including myself, my wife Momi, my daughter Malia, my son Zac and our friends Dana, Dona, Wendy, Ruth, Matt, Katie, Sarah, and Kaylee.
The weekend was really the first nice weekend of the spring. It was low to mid 70s during the day. The nights were a bit cold. We didn’t have a thermometer handy but around 2am or 3am on Saturday it was pretty darn cold. At 9am it was 36F, thanks to a handy temperature gauge in one of the cars. So we are certain it was below freezing. Saturday night/Sunday morning was much warmer.
Our campsite was down by the river. Each day we took a hike up to Yellow Rock. We took a detour off the main trail and climbed up the rocks to reach Yellow Rock. If there’s one thing they grow big in Arkansas, it’s rocks!
The picture on the left here is one of Momi and me. Not too bad after two days of camping.
